Over the past 10 years, Mr. Douglas has focused primarily on healthcare consulting services including cost report preparation, audits, re-openings, appeals, bad debts, medical education reviews, disproportionate share reviews, shadow billing, coding, and claims billing and review. His vast knowledge of governmental regulations has increased the bottom line for skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, critical access hospitals as well as large hospital chains across the country.
Prior to his successful consulting career, Mr. Douglas cumulated a unique blend of healthcare experience having started his career as the Manager of reimbursement at Samaritan Health Services, and then as a Senior Manager for the Fiscal Intermediary, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona
Mr. Douglas has a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University with a specialty in Hospital and Health Services Administration and secondary focus on Health Information Technology. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where Mr. Douglas served on the board as a Medicare specialist.
